MAIT Group and JANUS Engineering combine expertise for digital manufacturing

The MAIT Group continues to grow: JANUS Engineering AG becomes part of the group of companies

Rottweil, December 11, 2025 – With the integration of manufacturing specialist JANUS Engineering AG, the MAIT Group is expanding its presence in the manufacturing industry and strengthening its position as a Siemens Digital Industries Software partner in Europe. The merger brings together two experienced digitalization partners, enabling them to provide even more comprehensive support to customers in the manufacturing industry throughout the entire engineering process chain.

JANUS Engineering AG, based in Sindelfingen, Kollerschlag, and Sutz, has specialized in the intelligent digitalization of manufacturing processes for almost 30 years. With around 60 employees, the company is active in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, as well as throughout Europe and worldwide. As a long-standing Siemens software sales, service, and development partner, JANUS offers a wide range of services as an expert in CAD/CAM/PLM solutions—from technical consultancy to process optimization and automation to the development of its own software solutions.

With JANUS, we are specifically expanding our footprint in the manufacturing industry. Their expertise in intelligent manufacturing perfectly complements our existing Siemens business. Together, we can support customers across all engineering processes and turn them into digital pioneers," explains Thorsten Walz, member of the Executive Board of the MAIT Group.

For JANUS Engineering, too, the collaboration is an important step toward the future. “I already withdrew from operational business two years ago. With this merger, I am convinced that the entire JANUS team in the MAIT Group is in an excellent position to continue our long-standing success story at the next level. This allows me to withdraw completely from the business,” says Werner Karp, founder of JANUS Engineering AG.

JANUS Engineering AG's solutions appeal to a broad target group—across all manufacturing methods, technologies, and sectors. The aim is to enable customers to fully integrate technologies into their processes and thus achieve sustainable efficiency gains.

“JANUS is the market leader in its field and brings a wealth of technical expertise to the table. The combination of experience, innovative strength, and technological know-how makes this partnership particularly valuable for us,” adds Thorsten Walz.
