MAIT our future
Digital transformation should go hand in hand with a conscious approach to how we use resources. After all, we are striving not only for a digital future, but also for a future worth living for future generations.
That is why our sustainability strategy includes measures to protect our environment and minimize our carbon footprint.
Sustainability in numbers
Environmental awareness also guides our daily work in the office. We 'go digital' to keep our paper consumption to a minimum. We practice waste separation and recycling to conserve resources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We believe that the commitment of each individual makes a significant overall contribution to protecting the environment.
We have installed photovoltaic systems at many of our sites to supply electricity to our own premises and the surrounding area. We focus on energy saving measures to optimize our consumption and conserve resources. We also focus on replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy, which not only has environmental benefits but also contributes to a sustainable energy supply in the long term.
We are increasingly focusing on expanding electric mobility within our vehicle fleet and creating the necessary charging infrastructure. We also offer alternative mobility solutions, for example by subsidizing public transport. Another example is the JobRad, which allows our employees to rent bicycles at attractive rates to support environmentally friendly transportation.
We have a number of measures in place to ensure transparent processes. A risk management system is being planned and a compliance policy has been implemented. Violations can be reported through our reporting channel, and we are continuously improving monitoring. Our 'MAIT in motion' project follows the CIP approach to continuous process improvement.
The MAIT.Cloud in Frankfurt am Main is equipped with energy-efficient hardware and uses renewable energy. In cooperation with Equinix, our data center meets strict environmental and energy management standards to minimize its environmental footprint.
