Stamped and formed parts expert relies on Abas ERP and MAIT for its digital transformation

Our customer

The metal processing company MÜHLHAUSE GmbH is an expert in stamping and forming technology. The company, based in Velbert, is a member of the German Metal Forming Industry Association (IBU) and a first and second tier supplier to the automotive industry. The modern, family-run company places particular emphasis on customer-oriented decisions: above-average project management, a high degree of flexibility and a strong sense of quality awareness make it possible to implement tailor-made solutions and products for specific requirements. The success of this customer-oriented approach is reflected in the continuous growth of the company, which is ultimately the reason for the introduction of Abas ERP by MAIT in 2017. With the decision in favor of MAIT, MÜHLHAUSE has an important partner at its side for digitalization. In addition to the core business of developing and manufacturing stamping products, the areas of expertise of the medium-sized company MÜHLHAUSE with 170 employees range from technical project consulting, the design, manufacture and procurement of complex stamping tools and the maintenance of an extensive supplier network to internal and external surface finishing services and further processing steps. MÜHLHAUSE also realizes packaging and logistics concepts and implements QM and QS systems to safeguard processes. MÜHLHAUSE supports the customer throughout the entire process, from planning to delivery, and does not outsource production or assembly.

The project

As the previous ERP system was no longer able to meet the requirements of the rapidly growing company, the decision was finally made to implement the new business software Abas ERP. The metalworking company from Velbert chose MAIT as its partner for the introduction of the new ERP system in all areas of the company. MÜHLHAUSE also relies on the integrated document management system from Abas, which enables access to the centrally stored data and documents at any time. At the same time, interfaces to the EDI system of Seeburger, a software for automatic data transfer with customers and suppliers, are available.

Benefits for the customer

Overall, the Abas ERP project and the associated digitalization have made the business processes more effective, which is particularly noticeable in the area of goods dispatch and logistics. In particular, the revision of all master data and the elimination of duplicate work that took place with the implementation of Abas ERP have significantly improved the quality of the data and its usability. This enabled MÜHLHAUSE to design structured, clear and faster processes for the project and in the future.
